The monumental Everest (Sagarmatha in Nepali) is the tallest mountain in the whole world. This colossal mountain, the literal top of the world is 8,848 meters. In this Everest Base Camp trek, not only you get to see the gorgeous mountain, you actually go up to its base camp, where mountaineers begin the climb of the mountain. The trek will be 14 days long, and will be tiring and arduous. However, it will all be worth the wait when you reach your destination at the foot of Mt. Everest. During the trek, you will witness 4 of the 10 tallest mountains in the world! Along with Mt Everest, you can see Cho Oyu, Lhotse, and Makalu as well. You will have an experience of a lifetime in this epic mountainous adventure!
Your arrival will be addressed by one of our agents at the airport who will pick you up and drop you off to your hotel. The next day, we will be flying to Lukla for the trek. The flight will be around 45 minutes. After we reach Lukla, our trek will officially commence. From there, on the same day, we walk for around 4-5 hours and reach Phakding for an overnight stay. From there, we will travel for about 7 days into the mountainous nature to reach the Everest Base Camp. Around 4 days after that, we will reach back to the city.
We will gracefully welcome and address you on your arrival at the airport. We will take you to your hotel, and help with the check-in formalities. After taking some rest, we meet for a welcome dinner by us where we will brief you about the trek.
The next day, we catch an early flight to Lukla which will take about 45 minutes. Then, we have breakfast there. After breakfast is done, the trek officially begins! We will walk for about 4 hours to a place called Phakding. The place is a lovely little village with many shrines and monks. We will spend the night there at a cozy lodge.
The third day of the tour, we will hike for about 6 hours to reach Namche Bazar. This place is considered as the gateway to Mount Everest, and is gorgeous in its own. With splendid suspension bridges over the river valley, milky waters of the Dudh Kosi River, thick rhododendron, magnolia and fir tree forests, this place is sure to mesmerize. We spend the night here.
After an amazing night at Namche Bazar, we travel further up towards our destination. After walking for another 5 hours with amazing scenery of mountains right up ahead, we reach Thyangboche. The village is a traditional buddhist village with monasteries and amazing views. We will spend the night there with the locals.
The fifth day, to no surprise, is more hike towards the base camp. On this day, we travel further for about 5 hours to reach the beautiful village of Dingboche. The place is famous for amazing locals who will treat us nicely with amazing hospitality. Along with that we get to view some amazing mountains as well. We spend the night here as well at a cozy local lodge.
The scenic sunrise and mesmerizing views will revitalize and rejuvenate to walk further. This day, we will walk for another 5-6 hours to reach Lobuche. At this point, we are very close to the mountain range and we can see the mountains up close and personal. Lobuche will be our stay for the night.
The seventh day is the day we reach our destination. After an arduous walking for 8 hours, we finally reach the Everest Base Camp. Although the path was long and hard, it will all feel worth it after reaching here. The views, the surroundings, the very air you breath will feel amazing and revitalizing. All your tiredness will go away once you get to see what the place has to offer. We will camp the night at the base camp.
After the amazing morning at the foot of the tallest mountain in the world, we descend towards the city. The downhill trek of about 7 hours will take us to Pheriche. The village is gorgeous with rich culture. We will be staying there for the night.
The next day we will continue our return further down towards the city. We descend back to Namche Bazar today. The descent will be refreshing as we will have amazing views to keep us company.
The descent continues, as we return to Lukla after walking for about 6 hours. There, we rest for the night.
The eleventh day will mark our return to the capital city. After reaching there, you can catch up to some last minute sightseeing, or go shopping. We will take you for a celebratory dinner that day as a farewell.
The final day of the amazing adventure, we will help you with the check out formalities and drop you off to the airport with a heavy heart.
