Overview

Tsum Valley is one of the hidden treasure trekking destination in Nepal which lies in the Manaslu region. This trek takes the trekkers to the hidden valley of Tsum which means “vivid” home to the direct descendant Tibetan people known as Tsumbas. This Tsum valley trek is not only naturally beautiful with Himalayan scenery but also culturally rich. This reason is a sacred Himalayan pilgrimage and untouched valley situated in northern Gorkha district. Sacrifice and killing any living beings is strictly forbidden in the entire region, even no one can take any meat item/product including trekkers while traveling in the valley. Therefore, Will be punished and fined according to local community rules and lows if someone break the rules and regulations.

The hidden treasure Tsum valley is recently opened in comparison to the other popular regions such as Everest Base Camp; that’s why, this region is relatively virgin with less beaten paths so, the infrastructures is not been developed yet. Even though, since last few years this region is gaining huge popularity and offering the finest trekking experience in Nepalese Himalayan. Tsum Valley is dotted with numerous Buddhist monasteries, Chortens and Mani walls which preserves steps of the great Tibetan Buddhist Yogi Chyuchin Milarepa and story about Guru Padmasambhava circumambulate. Tsumbas (people of the valley) never slaughter animals, even as sacrifice to the gods.

The beautiful Tsum Valley is surrounded by amazing mountains such as  Buddha Himal and Himal Chuli to the west, Ganesh Himal to the south, and Sringi Himal to the North. The mesmerizing views of mountains, beautiful varied landscape, verities of flora and fauna, beauty and rich blend of Tibetan and Nepalese culture are the wonderful attraction of this trek.

Some Lodges has been opened for the tourist along the trekking route therefore for last several years this trek is organized as lodges trek but as per the trekkers preference it is possible to organize camping/tented trek as well.
